I can't believe this is the baby we picked up 9 months ago. Happy 18 month birthday, Sydney!!
We went to the Live Butterfly Exhibit at the Smithsonian's Natural History Museum two weeks ago.
Sydney was actually very interested in the butterflies.
My step-mom and Parker were out to visit this week. We had the opportunity to go to Arlington National Cemetery on Saturday. It was quite awe inspiring. Even seeing all the grave markers, it is hard to grasp the number of people who are buried there. It really angered me to think about the general mucky-muck that took place with the management there these last few years. What happened there? Craziness! Anyway, here are some photos.
It was really hot and humid!!

It's been a very long time since I have been to DC & the Arlington National Cemetary...is the Washington monument that close? We will have to plan a trip out that way sometime soon!
Actually, its not the Washington Monument. Its a grave marker that looked like it. I just thought it would make a neat picture. ~Erich
Katie, we would love it if you could make a trip out here sometime! It would be great to get together.
In that photo of Parker we were up at the top of the cemetery at Arlington House. It has a beautiful view of the city.

That's a great picture of your nephew.
Happy 18 month birthday to Sidney -- she is so cute!
Don't you wish you could stop them from growing so fast.
Love your new background!
